A few housekeeping items

As you may have noticed, the blog URL has been moved from http://easyobjects.net/blog to http://blog.easyobjects.net. It’s nothing sinister, it was just a lot of work to maintain the BlogEngine web site in a folder beneath the DotNetNuke web site. There are a lot of incompatibilities between the two web.config files, and frankly it’s just easier to keep them in separate web applications. The only reason for keeping the old URL structure was to try to maintain compatibility with the original DNN version of the blog. We’ll look into some URL rewriting to handle that, but for now you should change your RSS reader to the new location.

Also of note is that all the old posts are gone! We have the backups, but somewhere along the way the BlogEngine upgrade process completely corrupted the database. So we are looking at a manual migration of the old posts. They should be restored shortly.

And lastly, we have completed the upgrade to BlogEngine.NET 2.0, complete with new theme! If you find any problems with the site, don’t hesitate to let us know!
